ONE Question for Your New Year
There is a real paradox every New Year. While it offers a fresh slate and a new beginning full of endless possibilities, it can also bring a lot of self-imposed stress and overwhelm with high and often unrealistic expectations. You already know the list: eat healthy, exercise more, spend less, and so on… Instead of making a list of all the things you want to do this new year, I invite you to answer one question:
Who Are You in 2022?
By this I mean, How do you want to show up? What kind of person do you want to be? What kind of character, legacy, or reputation do you want to build? To help you answer this question, pick ONE from this list of ideas to choose as your theme for the day, the month, or the whole year.

- Journal your thoughts with stories, lists or doodles.
- Create a vision board with images, words, and color.
- Engage a commitment partner or a coach.
- Schedule and track it.
- Commit and re-commit.
Choosing who you want to be determines your focus–overwhelm or possibilities.

I will chose dedicated. As Dean Emeritus of Kramer School of Nursing, I am dedicated to providing any support, actions, creative projects, guidance for the new leadership, mentoring faculty and staff, (and there may be others) to continue the path of educating THE best students in their chosen path of nursing to deliver the best care to those that entrust us with their care.
I am also dedicated to writing the history of Kramer School of Nursing.
