The WBCI Delivers Validated Results

The Well-Being Coaching Initiative (WBCI) doesn’t give nurses more to do, but empowers them to feel good about themselves and what they already do. Feeling good about yourself and what you do every day is the definition of Well-Being!

The Well-Being Coaching Program focuses on Self-Leadership, a skill Diane has been teaching and coaching nurses for 28 years. Going deeper than self-care, Self-Leadership is the relationship you have with yourself; how you prioritize, treat, and talk to yourself. Self-Leadership is so empowering because it teaches nurses how to make themselves a priority so they are more engaged and less stressed in their work and life.

Option 1

The WBCI for Coaches

Program Overview

The Well-Being Coaching Initiative (WBCI) is a unique 4-year initiative providing healthcare organizations with the skills, structure, and support to create a Culture of Well-Being. This is done with a demonstrated system that empowers nurses and other healthcare professionals to improve the relationship they have with themselves through Self-Leadership. Going deeper than self-care, Self-Leadership is making the best decisions that positively affect your overall well-being

Learning Objectives
  • Understand the meaning of Self-Leadership and the empowering benefits
  • Experience and practice the skills that support Self-Leadership
  • Learn how to take responsibility, accept accountability, and ask for support personally and professionally
  • Gain knowledge how to Coach and Champion others with the specific structure of WBCI
Program Design

WBCI provides the skills, structure, and support for Coaches to develop and sustain their own Self-Leadership, and then learn how to formally coach others. This is done in an 8-Week Intensive with 10 hand-selected and vetted Coaches who have a passion for well-being and the availability and commitment to coach and support others. It includes:

  • Preparation: senior leadership interviews; ROI Report; timelines and expectations; Coach candidate interviews
  • Needs assessment to evaluate current culture and change readiness
  • Interactive full-day Kick-off Training providing foundational principles of WBCI
  • Validated well-being assessments measuring stress, burnout, self-compassion, self-leadership, and engagement
  • Four weekly 50-minute virtual Individual Coaching sessions
  • Three weekly 90-minute virtual Group Coaching sessions
  • Annual offsite retreat
  • Support: private web portal; unlimited email support; digital Self-Leadership campaign; personal journals; commitment partners
  • Graduation Celebration with personal stories and results of Coaches
  • 20 Educational Contact Hours
  • Licensing for all content including training manual, scripts, presentations, digital campaign, assessments
  • Implementation and rollout plan, plus annual program evaluations and plan for each of the four years.
Ongoing Support
  • Monthly mandatory Group Coaching sessions
  • Quarterly Individual Coaching sessions
  • Ongoing validated assessments
  • Annual evaluation and plan for each subsequent year

The Well-Being Coaching Initiative (WBCI) is a scalable and sustainable four-year initiative that provides your team with the skills, structure, and support to internally create and sustain a culture of Well-Being. Our exponential four-year implementation plan is proven to significantly increase nurse engagement and retention and decrease stress and burnout.

Our ‘Train the Trainer’ model delivers compounding results. We train internal Coaches to train future generations of Champions and Coaches that empower your staff with Self-Leadership throughout your organization. During the four-year commitment, you retain all the tools, content, and support necessary to build and sustain a Culture of Well-Being.

Program Overview

Self-Leadership focuses on your most important relationship, the one you have with yourself. It goes deeper than self-care because it determines the choices you make every day that affect your overall Well-Being. Connect, Engage and Energize with Self-Leadership! is a highly interactive program that provides foundational Self-Leadership skills that nurses and nurse leaders can use immediately to empower themselves and their staff. It can be delivered as an opening keynote or a longer customized training presentation, depending on your organization’s goals.
